Muna De Ciman
Originally from Sierra Leone, Muna DeCiman and her family moved to Regina in 1994. From the moment she arrived,she began volunteering. She is propelled by a deep belief in serving others and giving back to my community. She has upheld the inspiring belief through the years as demonstrated by relentless contributions and support to many organizations, events, and worthy causes across Saskatchewan.
In her Community, Regina, Muna is considered a maverick and plays a significant role in promoting diversity and community capacity building, two virtues close to her heart, and she advances these said virtues by leading and advising organizations such as the Regina Multicultural Council, Saskatchewan Government Employees Union (SGEU), Black In Saskatchewan, Blackcellence Network, Saskatchewan African Canadian History Museum, etc. as a volunteer. For each of the respective organizations.
As the chief operating officer, she is honoured to take this role for Blackcellence Network and is very optimistic for what the future holds for this great organization.
Eugene Apakoh
Eugene Apakoh serves as the Chief Finance Officer, bringing over two decades of experience in finance, education, and information technology. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the United Kingdom and spent 12 years as a lecturer at the University of East London, specializing in Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems.
In addition to his academic background, Eugene has worked in the UK’s IT sector, focusing on computer networking and support. After relocating to Canada in 2012 with his family, he transitioned into project finance and currently works with a Crown corporation, managing IT project financials and schedule forecasting. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and previously held a PRINCE2 certification.
Eugene is deeply committed to community development, especially within ethnic minority communities. He is passionate about financial empowerment, youth mentorship, and creating opportunities through education and advocacy. Alongside his wife, he actively supports charitable initiatives and community programs that celebrate and uplift others.
As CFO, Eugene ensures the organization’s financial sustainability while aligning fiscal strategies with its mission of impact and inclusion.
Rodolphe Adou
Rodolphe is an Administrative Professional and Team Player with a passion for Communication, Relationship Building and Learning. It is his core belief that our journey of apprenticeship and education never stops and the vehicle that moves these virtues is the relationships we have and how well we communicate our goals and objectives with each other.
Christian Mbanza
Christian Mbanza is an educator based in Regina, Saskatchewan, working within the Regina Catholic School Division. He earned his education degree from the University of Regina, specializing in French with a minor in history. Currently, Christian serves as the Community Outreach Director for the non-governmental organization Black in Sask (B.I.S.) and the Blackcellence network. These organizations are dedicated to fostering the holistic growth of Saskatchewan’s Black community by addressing systemic issues, connecting individuals to valuable networks, and promoting education about the Black experience.
In recognition of his dedication and impact, Christian was honored as a Distinguished Humanitarian by the University of Regina, highlighting his contributions to education and community advancement.
Christian is also pursuing a master’s degree in French education, furthering his commitment to academic excellence. Throughout his career, he prioritized building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. A passionate advocate for equity and social justice, Christian has dedicated his life’s work to celebrating Blackness, addressing systemic challenges, and advancing progress for the Afro-Canadian community.
Oba Adenigbagbe
Oba Adenigbagbe is a multifaceted tech and media professional who brings creativity, innovation, and a deep sense of purpose to his role as a volunteer at Blackcellence Network. With a background in digital solutions and a strong entrepreneurial drive, Oba is passionate about using technology and storytelling to uplift voices and foster meaningful change.
Philip Ocansey
Philip has academic backgrounds in accounting, international relations, and public administration.His professional background as a data and policy analyst is rooted in evidence-based work that informs policy decisions and supports community-focused outcomes.
As a self-taught photographer and videographer with a deep passion for storytelling, he brings this creative lens to life in his role as a Media Coordinator, where he supports and celebrates the Black excellence in Saskatchewan. Through powerful visuals and thoughtful narratives, Philip is committed to telling stories that matter — stories that honor dedication, resilience, and cultural pride.
Philip is proud to contribute to a mission that aligns with his values: uplifting communities and making space for Saskatchewan black stories that deserve to be seen and heard.
Prince John
Prince John is a dynamic professional with a strong background in sales, business development, and client relations. With experience across industries such as technology, networking, customer service, and fundraising, he excels in building meaningful connections and driving results. As an entrepreneur and advocate for Black excellence, Prince is passionate about fostering opportunities for growth and empowerment within Regina’s Black community. His commitment to innovation and leadership continues to make a lasting impact that serves his community.
